Following its third season, Mirzapur has risen to the top of the Amazon Prime Video ratings in India.
The criminal drama has garnered a significant following abroad in addition to at home, appearing in the top ten lists of more than 80 nations.
During its first weekend, the streamer reported that almost all postcodes in India had viewed the episode.
“Every record held by “Mirzapur” up until this point has been surpassed, even the ones set by Season 2. Nikhil Madhok, Prime Video’s head of India Originals, stated, “This success demonstrates the strong bond that viewers have with the show’s characters, making it an important part of popular culture and everyday conversation.”
“I am thrilled by the overwhelming response from the audiences, who have helped us grow strength to strength with each season,” Excel Media producer Ritesh Sidhwani said in the interim.
