ISLAMABAD: Following the Supreme Court’s request for assistance from the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) in the Mubarak Sani case, the religious body has identified ambiguities in some parts of the apex court’s decision granting bail to a member of the country’s Ahmadi community, The News reported Wednesday.
The development was reported at the CII’s 236th meeting, chaired by Qibla Ayaz.
The council discussed the Supreme Court’s ruling in the aforementioned issue at the meeting, stating that it will send its finalized proposals to the court to assist them in reaching a comprehensive conclusion.
“The CII has identified a clause in the verdict that created ambiguities.” The council meeting also finalized ideas, which would be given to the Supreme Court to make the decision more complete.”It should be recalled that the Supreme Court had asked its office to submit a copy of its February 6 judgment to the CII and others for their feedback.
