Tim Cook, the CEO of the tech giant, was accused in a class action lawsuit of misleading investors by concealing a decline in the market for iPhones in China.
According to Norfolk Council, Mr. Cook’s conduct caused financial losses for a pension fund under its administration.
The Norfolk Pension Fund expressed its pride in the recovery for investors in a statement.
The message went on, saying, “We understand that thousands of families and people rely on us as guardians of their pensions.
“When and where it’s warranted, we will take decisive action to recover losses when our participants’ investments are harmed by fraud.”

Apple has consented to settle a lawsuit brought by Norfolk County Council for $490 million (£385 million).
