The selection of Moeen-ud-Din Riaz Qureshi as the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly has been confirmed by a notification.
Acting Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Chanar sent out the notification. Moeen-ud-Din Riaz Qureshi represents constituency PP-215, Multan, in the Assembly.
Hafiz Farhat Abbas, meanwhile, has been named the deputy head of the opposition.
This came after Ahmed Khan Bachhar, the former leader of the opposition, was disqualified from the role due to his conviction in the May 9 case.
