Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been granted transit bail by the Peshawar High Court, thereby restraining him from arrest.
The hearing was presided over by Justice Arshad Ali and involved a two-member bench. The Chief Minister was also ordered by the court to appear before the relevant court.
The Advocate General asked for more than a month’s transit bail for the Chief Minister during the hearings.
The court was notified that a municipal court had only the day before issued arrest warrants for Gandapur.
According to the Chief Minister’s attorney, Gandapur has already obtained bail in more than a hundred cases, and as one case concludes, a new one is launched.
The Advocate General was questioned by Justice Arshad Ali regarding the specifics of the ongoing case.
