Gold prices in Pakistan and around the world have risen to all-time highs, the highest in the nation’s history.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, 24-karat gold cost Rs391,000 a tola on Tuesday, a huge rise of Rs4,700. Likewise, 10 grams of gold now cost Rs335,219, an increase of Rs4,030.
There was also a shift in the global gold market, as the price of gold increased by $49 per ounce to $3,692.
The same pattern was observed in Pakistan’s silver prices, where a tola of 24-karat silver increased by Rs53 to Rs4,496 and 10 grams of silver reached Rs3,854.
