Rashid Mahmood Langrial of the Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) has been named by the federal government to lead the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), according to a statement released on Wednesday, which Geo News cited.
The letter, sent today by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division, stated that the grade-21 official “is transferred and posted as Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue, under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, with immediate effect.”
The prime minister was reportedly considering the PAS officer’s name for the position of head of the government body, according to sources earlier today.
Langrial, who completed his Master’s in Public Administration (International Development) (MPA-ID) at Harvard Kennedy School after graduating from Government College Lahore, is the author of the book “Story of the Fair Sex.
