Jimmy Kimmel revealed a shocking revelation regarding Ryan Gosling.
The 56-year-old TV host, who will host the 2024 Oscars ceremony on March 10, said Ryan lied when he told Variety last month that he had not been requested to sing his Barbie piece I’m Just Ken.
“I’ve still not been asked. It might be too risky to have me do it. I’m not sure how that would work. But I’m open to anything,” he previously told Variety.
Later reports indicated that Ryan will grace the famous stage with his performance of the Oscar-nominated tune.
However, Jimmy now alleges that the 43-year-old actor was already “asked repeatedly” at the time.
In an interview with Good Morning America, the host noted that Ryan “had to think about it for a while” when the Academy first approached him, but that his performance at the Dolby Theatre “will be a big production.”
Referring to his contradicting claims, Jimmy continued: “It’s amusing ’cause I think Ryan was lying for a couple months preceding up when he was claiming, ‘Oh, I haven’t been asked to sing.’ That is not true; he had been requested to sing at the Oscars several times.
