US Networks Skip White House Pool Coverage
Major US television networks skipped pooled coverage of Donald Trump’s White House event on Monday. The decision followed Trump’s move to bar CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House grounds.
Trump unveiled a new helicopter landing pad on the White House South Lawn. However, viewers could barely hear his remarks because the sound of the nearby helicopter overwhelmed the audio.
The dispute has also moved into the courts. MS NOW and Politico have challenged the administration’s restrictions on their access.
IIT Bombay Students Explain Their Position
The students said their protests did not support cheating or academic misconduct. Instead, they said the incident raised wider concerns about institutional procedures, accountability and student welfare.
Students had called for Professor Suryanarayana Doolla to be relieved of his administrative responsibilities while the investigation continued. IIT Bombay subsequently removed him as Dean of Administrative Affairs. He remains a faculty member at the institute.
The students have also called for reforms involving disciplinary procedures, grievance systems, counselling, and student participation.
India at Asian Games 2026
The women’s cricket team also had a gold medal match against Sri Lanka on September 22. India later won the match and opened its gold medal account at the Games.
India’s medal tally therefore continued to grow as competition moved forward.

The UK plans to use a Voyager aircraft for the mission. Officials said the arrangement will remain under review.
The development adds another layer to the UK’s military involvement in the wider Middle East security situation.
The Hindi Drishyam franchise is returning with its third film, titled Drishyam: The Conclusion.
Director Abhishek Pathak has said the new film follows a different story from the Malayalam version. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, while Tabu and Shriya Saran also return. Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj join the cast.
