After Australia reached 100-2 in 11.2 overs while trying to reach Bangladesh’s target of 141 runs, the rain-affected match was called off. But when the rain stopped the game, they were 28 runs ahead of the DLS par total.
For the winning side, David Warner amassed 53 unbroken runs in 35 balls with an innings that featured three sixes and five fours.
Glenn Maxwell scored 14 unbroken runs in six balls, and Travid Head added 31 runs in 21 balls.
With Mitchell and Head out of the game, Australian wicket-taker Rishad Hossain took both Australian wickets in the innings.
