Authorities in Arizona are investigating alleged ransom notes linked to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of television presenter Savannah Guthrie. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that the FBI reviewed the note and shared it with Savannah Guthrie. Investigators are treating it as a potential lead. “If someone brings us information, we examine every part of it,” Nanos said during a briefing. Search Continues as Health Concerns Grow Nancy Guthrie has been missing for several days and requires regular medication. When asked if investigators believe she could still be alive, Sheriff Nanos said hope remains. “We hope she is,” he told reporters. Investigators have not identified a motive. They also have not confirmed whether her public profile played a role. However, Nanos said they cannot dismiss that possibility. Surveillance Footage Still Unavailable Investigators have not accessed footage from the home’s security cameras. According to the sheriff, the department is working with technology companies to recover video from Saturday night. Family members last saw Nancy Guthrie around 9:30 pm local time after dropping her off at home. Concern grew the following morning when members of her church noticed she did not attend Sunday services. They contacted her family around 11:00 am. When deputies arrived at the property, the scene caused what Nanos described as “grave concern.” Evidence Under Review Police located blood at the home and submitted samples for testing, according to media reports. Sheriff Nanos did not confirm the location of the blood. Investigators also collected fingerprints and DNA samples. So far, results have not identified a suspect. Customs and Border Protection has provided tracking dogs to assist in the search. Belief That She Was Taken Against Her Will Sheriff Nanos said investigators believe someone took Nancy Guthrie from her home against her will. “That is where the evidence leads us right now,” he said. He urged the public to share tips and said authorities would follow every lead. Nancy Guthrie reportedly has physical health issues but no cognitive impairment. Homicide detectives responded early in the case. Nanos noted this step is not typical in missing person investigations. Family Response and National Attention Savannah Guthrie has stepped away from her on air duties to remain with her family during the search. In a social media message, she thanked supporters for their prayers and expressed faith and hope for her mother’s safe return. A network spokesperson said Guthrie would not take part in upcoming coverage so she could focus on her family. President Donald Trump also commented on the case Tuesday. He said he plans to call Savannah Guthrie and would consider assigning more federal agents. “It’s a terrible situation,” he said at a White House event.

Standing on a global stage and holding a Grammy is a dream many artists chase. For FKA Twigs, that moment came after years of steady work, patience, and belief in her craft. At the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the singer won Best Dance or Electronic Album for Eusexua. While fans saw a breakthrough, Twigs made it clear that her journey began long ago. Early talent in Cheltenham Born Tahliah Barnett, FKA Twigs grew up in Cheltenham. Dance teacher Corraine Collins first met her when she was just six years old. Collins remembers her as an energetic and expressive child who stood out from the start. She trained in ballet, modern dance, and tap at Collins’ studio. According to her teacher, Twigs showed natural stage presence early on. She brought emotion and drama into every performance, even as a child. Collins said she knew Twigs had something special. She did not follow rules or fit into set patterns. Instead, she created her own style. A move that shaped her future At 17, Twigs moved to London to study at the BRIT School. Dance remained important, but her focus slowly shifted toward music. That change would shape her career. Years later, she returned to Cheltenham with big news. At 22, she visited Collins to share that she had signed her first record deal. The moment meant a lot to both student and teacher. Collins described the visit as emotional. She said the studio felt proud, as Twigs became their first student to rise as a pop star. Recognition after years of work On stage at the Grammys, Twigs spoke honestly about her path. She said many people see her as new, but she has worked for a long time to reach this point. She shared a message for other artists. She urged them not to quit and to trust their vision. She said staying true to one’s art is what connects with people. Her words struck a chord with Collins. She said success today often feels rushed, but real growth takes time. Twigs’ journey proves that steady effort still matters. A message that resonates FKA Twigs’ Grammy win reflects more than talent. It shows dedication, resilience, and patience. Her story reminds young artists that success does not happen overnight. From a dance studio in Cheltenham to music’s biggest stage, Twigs stayed committed to her path. That commitment finally earned global recognition.

In a significant diplomatic breakthrough, former US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have announced a comprehensive new trade agreement. The deal, finalized during a phone call between the two leaders, aims to reset a strained economic relationship and marks a major shift in global trade alliances. Key Terms of the Historic Agreement The agreement centers on mutual concessions. The United States will dramatically reduce its tariffs on Indian goods. Previously, US tariffs on Indian imports stood at 50%, the highest for any Asian nation. Under the new deal, these will be lowered to 18%. Notably, a 25% penalty tariff linked to India’s purchase of Russian oil will be completely eliminated. In return, India has made substantial commitments. Prime Minister Modi agreed to reduce its own trade barriers and non-tariff obstacles to zero for US goods. Furthermore, India will stop purchasing Russian oil, pivoting instead to buy significantly more energy from the United States and potentially Venezuela. India also committed to purchasing over $500 billion worth of American goods, including energy, technology, agriculture, and coal products. Strategic Timing and Global Context This announcement comes less than a week after India and the European Union sealed their own landmark trade deal, ending nearly 20 years of negotiations. Analysts view the swift US-India pact as a strategic move by Washington to maintain its influence. Terry Haines of Pangaea Policy called it "an answer to those thinking the EU is flanking or gaining speed on the US on trade." The US-India trade relationship had been under severe strain since August, when the high US tariffs caused Indian exports to America to plummet. India had been actively seeking other partnerships in response. Reactions and Market Implications Prime Minister Modi expressed delight at the agreement on social media, thanking Trump "on behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India." He emphasized the benefit of the world's two largest democracies working together. While markets are expected to react positively, not all responses are favorable. A coalition of 800 U.S. small businesses, "We Pay the Tariffs," criticized the deal. Their director noted that pre-tariff rates were around 2.5%, meaning the new 18% rate "locks in a rate six times higher than what we were paying a year ago," calling it a "permanent tax hike." The deal represents a fundamental realignment, strengthening US-India ties while pulling New Delhi away from Russian energy dependence. It sets the stage for a new chapter in trans-Pacific trade and geopolitics.
