Zverev reached an out-of-court deal with his former partner, who brought the claims, and then resolved the domestic abuse case. June saw the German court wrap up the trial. He consented to provide the state penalty of roughly $162,000 and $54,000 to charitable organizations.
During an argument, Zverev choked the woman and shoved her against a wall, according to the prosecution. Zverev insisted he was innocent.
In the fifth set of his match against Fritz, Zverev seemed offended by the applause emanating from his opponent’s box. He stated that “they were a bit over the top.”
