The sequel, directed by Matt Reeves, is expected to continue the dark world introduced in the 2022 hit The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson. The new film is scheduled for a cinema release in October 2027 and is expected to feature Scarlett Johansson and Charles Dance. The city has become a popular filming hub for major productions. Recent projects include a four part Beatles biopic directed by Sam Mendes, along with TV dramas such as Hamburg Days, The Cage, and This City is Ours.
