According to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) most recent T20 rankings, a number of Pakistani players have moved up the rankings.
With a rating of 763, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam moved up one spot to fourth place in the latest ICC rankings. He is only one spot behind his teammate and Green Shirts wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who is rated as the third-best T20 batsman in the world.
Babar’s rise in the rankings as a result of his outstanding play in the just-completed home series against New Zealand, in which he finished with 125 runs to lead all scorers.
There are no Pakistanis on the top 20 T20 batters list in the ICC, which is led by England’s Phil Salt and India’s Suryakumar Yadav, respectively.
