One day before Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi’s arrival to the city, on April 23 (tomorrow), the Karachi traffic police released a traffic plan on Monday.
According to the plan, Club Road would be totally blocked to vehicles traveling from PIDC to Metropole for security reasons, according to traffic police.
Ziauddin Road from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC will also be closed. Additionally, it will stay closed all the way from the PIDC Chowk to the light signal.
The police further stated that traffic from Sultanabad Road will be rerouted to Aiwan-e-Sadr Road and Khajoor Chowk.
From Khajoor Chowk, travelers arriving from the Shaheen Complex can turn left onto Aiwan-e-Sadr Road.
Today marks the opening day of Iran’s Raisi’s three-day official visit to Pakistan, with her arrival in Islamabad.President Raisi will meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chairman of the Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir during the visit.
