An audio tape that went viral in India sparked outrage after a woman identified as telecaller Anu Radha Verma was heard using foul language and other derogatory remarks against a “debt-ridden” Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer during a loan repayment dispute.
Verma allegedly called the officer “ignorant” and said that he would not have been “sent to the border if you were educated,” disparaging his education and profession, according to Indian media.
