News said on Friday that Zainab Jamil, a former actor turned model, was seriously injured after escaping a violent gun attack at her car in Lahore’s DHA Phase IV by guys wearing masks.

Jamil, who rose to popularity in the first season of the popular show Khuda Aur Muhabbat, was shot six times on Wednesday as she was riding her motorcycle to her saloon when two unknown attackers opened fire on it.

The attackers who remain nameless were able to escape the site of the crime.

Despite being very ill, she was transferred to a hospital right away, yet she made it through the murderous attempt.

The former actor recorded her statement after regaining consciousness in the hospital, disclosing that she was getting threats to kill her and that she had received a threat letter.
