The midfielder from Cameroon spent a season on loan at the Glasgow team, where he made over forty-three games and finished second behind Rangers in the Scottish Premier League (now called the Scottish Premiership) in 2010.
The statement said, “The news of Landry N’Guemo’s passing at the young age of 38 shocks and saddens everyone at Celtic Football Club.”
“At this difficult time, the club’s thoughts and prayers are with Landry’s family and friends.
After his playing career ended, N’Guemo went back to manage the under-16 team at the French club Nancy.
He played for Cameroon in over 40 games.
