It was decided to promptly repatriate 43 Pakistani nationals who were detained in Sri Lanka during a high-level meeting with Admiral (retd) Ravindra Chandra Srivijay Gunaratne, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, on Friday. For the past month, the Ministry of Home Affairs has been collaborating with the Sri Lankan authorities to repatriate these detainees.
In this context, the high commissioner from Sri Lanka promised full assistance. The high commissioner for Sri Lanka was congratulated by Interior Minister Monsin Naqvi for his backing of the detainees’ return home.
“In a few days, the plans for the repatriation of Pakistani prisoners will be finalized,” Naqvi stated in statement.
