According to Younus Mengal, the head of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority’s (PDMA) control room, 39 persons have lost their lives in rain-related accidents in Balochistan since July 1. Dawn.com obtained this information.
Nineteen youngsters are among the dead, five of them passed away on Monday in three different events, according to Mengal.
A “new spell of rain entered Balochistan a day ago and was expected to continue till tonight in 22 districts,” according to a PDMA spokesman.
He said that efforts were underway in the province to provide relief and rescue.
