KARACHI: On Sunday, during a heist in Karachi’s Mauripur neighborhood, a mother and a small child were fired at and hurt. The girl had resisted.
According to the police, the suspects stole a phone and a pocketbook from the family before running off. According to authorities, the victim’s family had traveled to Hawkes Bay for a picnic when their car broke down en route.
The robbers arrived while they were waiting for the car to be mended, took their stuff, and hurt them when they resisted. The eight-year-old daughter and the 35-year-old lady who had been hurt, according to law enforcement, were taken to the Civil Hospital in Karachi to receive medical attention.
As for the incident itself, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Asad Raza has demanded an explanation from the deputy superintendent of Mauripur police and established a committee to look into it.
In addition, the DIG threatened to take legal action against the station house officer (SHO) in Mauripur if the suspects in the Hawksbay robbery crime remained at large for more than a week.
If the culprits are not apprehended, “action will be taken against the SHO,” he declared.
It should be mentioned that this year’s robbery resistance occurrences in Karachi have claimed the lives of at least 82 persons.
