Before consenting to marry his daughter to the fast bowler, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi revealed that he investigated pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Speaking during the ‘Main Hoon Karachi’ session of the city’s International Urdu Conference, Shahid discussed how he came to the decision to marry his daughter Ansha to the young paceman.
“No father entrusts his daughter’s life to someone without careful consideration,” the famous all-rounder stated. Shaheen had a good childhood, and even though our family stopped communicating once we moved to Karachi, Shaheen’s instructors were always very complimentary of him.
In response to a query regarding the investigation, the former spinner emphasized its significance, stating: “A successful relationship requires compatibility, and both partners must contribute.”
