Babar Azam is arguably one of the most recognizable sports stars in Pakistan of the modern era. He has a sizable fan base in Pakistan that is made up of ardent supporters, and it appears that his fan base is global after he was encircled by Bangladeshi fans while visiting the South Asian country.

Babar, who plays for Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), was encircled by a sizable group of supporters and media representatives who had gathered to see him as he made his way to the team bus.

The 29-year-old earlier helped the Riders defeat the Sylhet Strikers in a crucial game with a game-winning knock.

After being told to bat first, the Strikers lost eight wickets in the first innings and could only muster 120 runs.

In the last over, Babar made an impression by removing Dushan Hemantha with a direct hit.

Babar’s team, however, lost six wickets with the score of 39, putting them in a difficult position from the outset of the chase.

But Babar and Azmatullah Omarzai worked together to create an 89-run combination that won the match, and the Riders prevailed in a hard fought battle.

Their strong partnership and skillful batting opened the door for a thrilling four-wicket triumph as they reached the goal in 18.2 overs.

The top batsman for Pakistan, who remains unbeaten after hitting 56 runs from 49 deliveries with six boundaries at a strike rate of 114.28, was instrumental in the victory.
