A court in Seoul has sentenced a Brazilian woman to a suspended prison term after she repeatedly targeted the home of BTS star Jungkook. She ignored multiple warnings and continued visiting his residence over a short period.
The case has drawn attention due to the intensity of her actions and repeated violations of police instructions.
Repeated Visits to Jungkook’s Home
The woman began approaching Jungkook’s home in December last year. She visited around 20 times within less than two months.
During one visit, she rang the doorbell 133 times. She also left letters and photographs at the property and threw items over the wall. She described her actions as being driven by love for the singer.
Authorities later confirmed that she kept returning even after being warned to stay away.
Arrest and Court Decision
Police arrested her after she followed a delivery worker to enter the property through a side gate. She was released shortly after with a warning not to return, but she ignored it.
She continued visiting the home, which led authorities to impose a restriction order keeping her at least 100 meters away.
Despite this, she persisted and was eventually referred to prosecutors.
The court in Seoul sentenced her to one year in prison, suspended for two years. The judge noted that the risk of repeat behavior appeared limited but still treated the repeated trespassing as serious.
Possible Deportation
The woman now faces possible deportation from South Korea unless she successfully appeals the ruling. Her continued violations after warnings and police orders played a key role in the court’s decision.
A similar incident had previously involved another foreign national attempting to enter Jungkook’s home shortly after his military service ended, showing ongoing concerns around celebrity privacy and security.
