Following the decision on Thursday, “a lot of women speaking privately and quietly” expressed “a very nuanced mix of emotions,” according to the Canadian stand-up and TV personality.

Ryan has previously stated that there was a “predator” in the entertainment industry in an interview with Louis Theroux for a news documentary.

In 2022, Ryan stated that she had featured on a TV show but that she was unable to identify the well-known man because it would be a “litigious minefield.”

Katherine Ryan Reflects on Russell Brand Verdict

Ryan has not verified that she was referring to Brand, and she did not specify the show she was working on. It was widely speculated that Ryan was alluding to her stint on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle in 2018.

In the most recent episode of her podcast Telling Everybody Everything, Ryan discussed the guilty judgment in his trial, saying, “It really made dysregulated again, caught off-guard, emotional, in awe of the survivors who also had nothing to gain.

“They came out in spite of Russell Brand’s wealth, celebrity, and influence, as well as the hordes of supporters who were prepared to attack them.”

Katherine Ryan Reacts to Brand’s Guilty Verdict

On Thursday, Brand was found guilty of three charges of sexual assault and one count of rape.

Two further rape allegations and one accusation of attempted indecent assault were dropped against the former performer.

Katherine Ryan Speaks Out on Brand’s Sentencing

On Monday, the 51-year-old will get his punishment. Mr. Justice Bennathan, the judge, advised him to anticipate “a significant custodial term” following the delivery of the verdicts.

“This verdict came because women were hurt, and I worry as well about what happens next,” Ryan added on the program. He’s martyred himself to an increasing number of people who really still believe that the brave survivors are the villains in this tale because he’s clearly spent a lot of time developing the concept that the establishment has made up these accusations against him.”

'Justice is served' says Bear Grylls

The explorer and host of Man Vs Wild on the Discovery Channel, Bear Grylls, has talked about helping to baptize Brand in the River Thames in 2024.

He stated on X that he has witnessed several baptisms, including “visiting in prisons with people who have committed terrible crimes.”

“At the time when I was a guest at his private baptism, Brand’s faith seemed genuine to me.”Judgment belongs to God and the courts. He went on, “I would never want to dissuade someone from coming to Christianity.

More allegations

According to authorities, Brand is currently under investigation for additional rape claims made by two women.

One of the ladies was 16 years old at the time and appeared in a Channel 4 documentary, according to information from a hearing at London’s Southwark Crown Court before to the start of Brand’s criminal trial.

In a combined investigation by Channel 4 Dispatches, Times, and Sunday Times in September 2023, four women accused Brand of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse.

Police Expect More Brand Allegations

Prosecutors also stated that it was “plainly incorrect” to claim that there had been a decision not to look into the matter in documents they gave to the court for the hearing. There has been no such decision, as seen by the pending charges against RB about ‘Alice’ from Dispatches. Instead, the police will and have responded accordingly once a formal claim is made.”

The Metropolitan Police chief stated that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if additional individuals came forward with accusations against Russell Brand.

“Victim blaming” came dangerously near during Brand’s trial at Southwark Crown Court.
