In the wake of her recent split with actor Barry Keoghan, Sabrina Carpenter made her first public comments regarding partnerships.
The 25-year-old shocked fans on Tuesday night by making an appearance at NYU’s Skirball Theatre’s Jack Antonoff’s annual Ally Coalition talent show.
Carpenter and Antonoff performed her song Slim Pickins, which was inspired by the proverb “there’s plenty of fish in the sea,” according to the news.
She called the phrase “a big fat lie” when speaking to the crowd.
Furthermore, according to the tabloid, the remark was made weeks after Carpenter and Keoghan called it quits on their one-year romance earlier this month, amid rumors that the split was related to influencer Breckie Hill’s adultery.
