James Gunn is making one important point about the reboot clear: Superman: Legacy, the next DC tentpole, will not be an origin story.
The new studio chief responded, “None,” to a fan’s question on Threads on the extent to which the film would explore the genesis story of the Kryptonite son.
According to Superman: Legacy’s official synopsis, the movie “tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas.”
stating, “He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
Meanwhile, David Corenswet will be seen sporting the red capes when Superman: Legacy hits theaters in the spring.
