ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian touched down in Pakistan, where he will hold talks with top government officials on a range of topics, including security.
Days after Iran conducted an attack in Pakistan and Islamabad destroyed terrorist hideouts inside the Iranian border, tensions between the two nations increased.
During the one-day visit, the Iranian foreign minister will discuss trade, economic, and security-related matters while leading a high-ranking group, according to IRNA.
Jalil Abbas Jilani, the foreign minister of Pakistan, extended an official invitation for the Iranian FM to visit the nation.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has come to Islamabad at the invitation of Jalil Abbas Jilani, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan.
The extra foreign secretary (for Afghanistan and West Asia) met him at the Nur Khan airfield, according to a Foreign Office statement.
“During the visit, Foreign Minister Abdollahian will hold in-depth talks with Foreign Minister Jilani and call on Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar,” said the statement.
