During filming “Oppenheimer,” Florence Pugh and Cillian Murphy encountered a difficult situation with “not ideal timing.”
Pugh, 28, recounted that when the two actors were recording a scene in which they had nude intercourse, the camera broke.
“The camera broke in the middle of our sexual scene. According to Variety, Pugh stated at a recent panel, “No one knows this, but it did.” “Our camera broke when we were both naked, and it was not ideal timing.”
“Cillian is in this room with me. We’re both holding our bodies in this manner because it’s a closed set, she added, gesturing to the two of them as they each had their arms encircling their torsos.

Pugh used the uncomfortable as an opportunity to learn.
“Well, this is my chance to learn, I think to myself. “So tell me, what’s wrong with this camera?” inquired the actress from “Don’t Worry Darling.” “Moments are something you create. “What’s going on with the shutter here, buddy?” I ask myself.
Director Christopher Nolan of “Oppenheimer” ultimately had to explain everything to Pugh.
“It was just crazy that every person on this set was so knowledgeable and was so ready to make this kind of a movie that there was no dull moments,” she said. “Everything was fantastic. We thought we were fortunate to be there all day long.”
