Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has urged lawmakers to unite and sit with the administration to resolve concerns due to the nation’s ongoing political tensions and polarization.
Umar, a former close adviser of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, stated in an interview with a British news agency that the current political climate in the nation calls for a “new charter of democracy.”
The now-stalled talks between the former ruling party and the ruling coalition led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are the backdrop for the former federal minister’s comments.
