LAHORE: Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 64 runs in their PSL 10 match at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday thanks to a strong batting performance from the team as a whole and an incredible five-wicket haul by Faheem Ashraf.
Zalmi’s batting unit collapsed on a pitiful 114 in 15.2 overs while chasing a 179-run goal.
Before losing to Abrar Ahmed in the fifteenth over, middle-order batsman Hussain Talat put up a valiant fight for Zalmi with a 39 off 34 balls, which included four fours and two sixes.
Mohammad Haris (17), Mitchell Owen (15), and captain Babar Azam (12) were the only hitters to reach double digits, illustrating Zalmi’s performance against the Gladiators’ fast-paced bowling attack.
