The director of Damsel gave Millie Bobby Brown, who portrays Eleven on Stranger Things, a new identity.
The 19-year-old actress recently received praise from Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, the director of Millie’s most recent project, for her performance in the upcoming Netflix film Damsel, which is scheduled for release on March 8, 2024.
In an interview with Total Film that will be released on Thursday, Juan talked candidly about Millie and his film.
Regarding the gifted actress, he told the publication that she performed admirably in the demanding yet emotional part and took her work very seriously.
He responded, “She was exceptional,” when questioned about Millie’s performance.
“She understood that this needed to be an extreme survival experience,” the director continued. And you have to portray anguish and pain in order to make that seem plausible.
“This is a movie about a transformation – about a girl becoming a woman – and you need to really feel the intensity of it,” he stated.
Juan concluded, saying, “We didn’t want to cheat any of that, so we pushed all the limits to make this a huge roller coaster of an experience for the audience.”
Fans are aware that Millie Bobby Brown has previously thrilled audiences with her “exceptional” acting abilities when she starred in Harry Bradbeer’s and Stranger Things on Netflix.
