LAHORE: If elected by the electorate on February 8th for the general elections, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has stated that the nation needs a healing touch and that he will make sure to mend and undo damages inflicted to the nation at all levels.

In a conversation with Geo News, the three-time former prime minister claimed that Pakistan had suffered significant economic, political, and social harm as a result of his abrupt dismissal due to “conspiracies”.

Pakistan requires a healing hand. To begin a new chapter, limit the harm, and establish Pakistan as a powerful and significant nation, the country needs hope and togetherness.

This was Nawaz’s final interview on the day he spoke to a sizable and receptive audience in a Kasur town that was about an hour’s drive away.

Several recent surveys have shown Nawaz Sharif’s party ahead of his competitors including Imran Khan’s PTI and Bilawal Bhutto’s PPP. Nawaz’s party closed the popularity gap and gained ground in the ratings during the past few weeks. The BBC has dubbed him “the king of comebacks” due to the widespread belief that he has a good chance of winning Pakistan’s prime ministership four times.

“People acknowledge that we delivered economic progress and infrastructure development during our terms in office and they pose confidence in Pakistan,” he said, citing “Allah’s blessings” as the reason for this.

“The electorate holds the final decision-making power when it comes to who will be the next prime minister of Pakistan. We shall use every effort to support our country if we are given the order to serve it once more.

Nawaz claimed that his unjust removal from office and subsequent victimization had harmed Pakistan’s economic development and social cohesiveness, but he insisted that he did not believe in retaliation and would instead concentrate only on making economic progress to help the country’s suffering populace.

“I have experienced personal losses, but I handle that as a personal matter,” he stated. The country of Pakistan suffered greatly as a result. We must let go of the grudges from the past and move on. I reject the idea of any form of retaliation.

Due to protracted sessions, the PML-N faced criticism for launching the election campaign later than planned.

Since then, Shehbaz Sharif, Nawaz’s younger brother, and Maryam Nawaz have all spoken at sizable gatherings in Punjab’s main cities and rural areas.

The veteran member of the PML-N declared: “The response we have received is unprecedented.” I’ve noticed that they genuinely want change. When I explained to the masses what has led Pakistan to this point, they responded favorably and with a sense of connection.

“They also understand that we have the strategy and the goal to fulfill the commitments we have made. Actually, we’ll give them more than what we’ve promised.

Nawaz disregarded the notion that the majority of young people support the PTI, as reported by certain media outlets.
