PESHAWAR: Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has accepted an agreement with PTI-P, the party’s breakaway group led by Pervez Khattak, to create a coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to reports.

According to reports, conversations were held between the PTI and Khattak’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTI-P) with Imran Khan’s approval.

Currently, PTI is ruling the house of 145 with 84 seats, although PTI-P only got two seats in the KP Assembly elections on February 8.

According to sources, the PTI chose to form an alliance with Khattak’s party after the Jamaat-e-Islami refused to join.

Meanwhile, despite the PTI’s strong majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, uncertainty surrounding the establishment of government in the province persists in the absence of leadership, Geo News reported citing sources.

The statement further reads: “Thank you to the Whistler Blackcomb Adaptive Programme for educating us.
According to sources, even after a week of general elections, the PTI has yet to gather its elected members.

The MPs-elect were perplexed because no consultation had begun on the formation of the government in KP.

They added Taimur Khan Jhagra, Kamran Bangash, and other top politicians were busy protesting the alleged electoral rigging.

Mushtaq Ghani, Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, told Geo News that it was sad that the assembly members could not yet be gathered. He stated that PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur was given the job, but his father passed away.

Imran Khan, the incarcerated founder of the PTI, selected former federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur as his party’s nominee for Chief Minister of Kashmir on Tuesday.
