Earlier, it was announced that Rilee Rossouw succeeds Sarfaraz Ahmed as the Quetta Gladiators captain.

Rilee Rossouw, a South African cricketer, succeeded Sarfaraz Ahmed as Quetta Gladiators captain on Tuesday, ahead of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Saud Shakeel, a Pakistan cricketer, was named vice-captain of the Gladiators.

Ahmed led the Gladiators for the first nine seasons of the elite tournament.
