In two separate crimes recorded in Rawalpindi, a man was detained for murdering his wife and beating and expelling his mother.
A suspect, Amjad, was detained on suspicion of stabbing his wife, Allah Rakhi, to death during a domestic argument, according to a police spokesperson, who added that the accused left after the murder.
The incident was reported to the Gujjar Khan police station after the victim’s son filed a complaint. Saddar Nabil Khokar, the Superintendent of Police (SP), swore that the suspect will face punishment.
“The arrest of such suspects involved in heinous crimes is important to provide justice,” he went on to say.
Another event occurred under the jurisdiction of Rata Amral Police Station in the same city.
Police detained a son for torturing and expelling his mother from the residence.
The victim filed an application, claiming that her son, Kamran, tormented her “brutally and occupied the house forcibly”.
The applicant requested that the police open a case under the Parental Protection Ordinance and arrest the accused Kamran.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal stated that all legal procedures will be met to punish the suspect. He described violence against elderly parents as an incomprehensible and disgusting conduct.
In another tragic event, a man killed his nephew and injured relatives over a land dispute in Sargodha before committing suicide.
Police reported that Ali Ahmed, 35, had a property dispute with his brother Nadeem, wife Rukhsana, nephew Akmal, and niece.Today, he entered the house of his brother and opened fire at them.
As a result, his nephew Akmal died on the spot while others sustained injuries. Later on, the accused also took his own life with the same weapon.
