Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), met separately on Tuesday with three-time former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
According to sources, Shehbaz met with Nawaz Sharif at Murree to address issues related to the establishment of the central and Punjab governments.
Ishaq Dar and members of the coordination committee were prominent attendees during the meeting.
The PML-N committee informed the bigwigs about the talks with the PPP.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz had met with Bhutto-Zardari upon his return to Islamabad.
Both leaders had discussed moving on with the talks in accordance with the establishment of a government.
According to sources, Shehbaz and Bhutto-Zardari believed that both sides should be willing to compromise in order to reach a final accord.
- Two independent candidates join the PML-N –
Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan, two independent candidates who won seats in the Balochistan Assembly, have now opted to join the PML-N.
Their decision was made at a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif.
The meeting, which was attended by party officials including as province president Jafar Khan Mandukhel and party leader Jamal Shah Kakar, was noteworthy because Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan swore their allegiance to the PML(N).
Shehbaz Sharif expressed warm greetings and a heartfelt welcome to the newly recruited members, recognizing their work inpromoting stability within Pakistan.
He emphasised the importance of unity in addressing the nation’s challenges, advocating for dialogue and cooperation as the keys to progress.
