After a significant snowfall, tourists were stuck on Changla Street.

ABBOTTABAD: A snowfall in Nathiagali and Galiyat has left several tourists stranded at Changla Street in the mountainous regions, ARY News reported.

Rescue sources told the media that the incident occurred due to digging land inside the seminary.
According to reports, icy roads are adding to tourists’ misery, as long lines of automobiles can be seen. Tourists from all around Pakistan come in great numbers, especially during the winter season.

A representative for the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) stated that numerous tourists were rescued during the operation. He added that visitors locked in more than ten automobiles were also rescued.

Separately, Rawalpindi traffic police published a new advice and thorough plan to govern traffic and assist tourists during the snowfall in Murree.

Taimoor Khan, Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi, urged travelers to drive with caution because the roads were slick owing to snowfall. The Chief Traffic Officer stated that given the current circumstances in Murree, tourists should select good and fully equipped vehicle.

Taimoor Khan stated that traffic flow is expected to slow owing to snow and rain. The Chief Traffic Officer stated that only licensed divers were permitted to enter Murree.

Taimoor Khan also urged tourists to wear tire chains and pack extra warm garments for their stay in Murree.

Previously, an emergency help line (051-9269200) was established to assist tourists.

The police noted that citizens with complaints could contact them at any time. The Help Line center also serves as a control room from which tourists can access all available services. The police stated that every effort is being made to deal with any undesirable scenario.

Meanwhile, Astore Valley Road is also shut,closed for traffic for the past 24 hours due to rain, snowfall, and land sliding. District Administration maintained that the Public Works Department has cleared some part of the road.
