The salaries of Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga for the upcoming Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, have been revealed.
According to Variety, the 49-year-old actor, who was originally paid $4.5 million for his Oscar-winning performance, is being paid $20 million to reprise his role as Arthur Fleck.
Lady Gaga, on the other hand, will play his love interest, Dr. Harleen Quinzel, often known as Harley Quinn, for which Warner Bros. will pay her $12 million.
Despite its R-rating, the first installment in the Joker franchise grossed $1 billion worldwide. Furthermore, the sequel is said to have cost Warner Bros. approximately $200 million, more than doubling the $60 million production budget.
