Up to polling day, the parties are preparing for a battle on mobile devices at the next election by inundating voters with customized adverts.Due to improvements in expenditure and data regulations that benefit the two major parties, Labour and the Conservatives may expect to significantly increase their social media spending over the course of the year.

Parties’ maximum spending caps are set to increase by 80%, and new data regulations that facilitate the use of and individual targeting of political advertising are on the horizon.

The two major parties are inundating voters with targeted commercials leading up to election day in an attempt to prepare for a mobile-phone-based contest in the next election.

The Liberal Democrats have expressed dissatisfaction with the modifications, claiming that the Conservatives, being the party with the most financial resources, have been given an unfair advantage in the election regulations.

Our study indicates that Labour has been keeping up with them so far this year, even though no other party has been able to manage a sizable spend on Facebook or Instagram.
