New Zealand scored 98-3 in response to Australia’s 118-4 from 10.4 overs, but it was unable to reach the target of 126 from 10 overs as per the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method at Eden Park.

The home team lost two quick wickets before Glenn Phillips scored their highest score for the second straight game with a finish of 40 not out off 24 balls, which increased the necessary run-rate rapidly.

In his maiden appearance of the series, Australian speed bowler Spencer Johnson made an impression, taking 1-10 off of two overs.

Australia was asked to bat first, but their innings was cut short by three rain stoppages.

Travis, the opener Head top scored 33 off 30 balls, but player of the match Matthew Short’s 27 off 11 balls and Glenn Maxwell’s 20 off 9 balls were the most grueling innings of batting.

Australia dominated the series, winning game one in Wellington on Wednesday by six wickets and game two in Auckland on Friday by 72 runs.

After Mitch Marsh was rested for the final match, Australian captain Matthew Wade, the wicketkeeper, was elevated to the position, and he stated that the series was a perfect warm-up for the T20 World Cup in June.
