He was one of five players the league suspended; the other two were Heat big Thomas Bryant and Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado, who both received three-game bans for coming off the bench during the fight. For coming off the bench, Heat forward Nikola Jovic also received a one-game suspension.
Naji Marshall of the Pelicans, who was also suspended for one game, and Butler got into a physical altercation on the court after Zion Williamson made a layup and Kevin Love of the Heat hacked him down. it.
Butler, though, opted to make light of the issue with a Photoshopped Instagram post, so it’s all in the past now.
Butler wrote, “It was all @nikolajovicc fault,” as the caption for the photo in which they both had their heads stuck on a poster for the popular film “Bad Boys,” which starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
In addition, he included the location “Miami-Dade County Jail (DCJ)” with the jest that he would be imprisoned until his one game was over.
