The 77-year-old, who has been an ambassador for the American Heart Association for a long time, eats a Mediterranean diet high in fresh produce, seafood, and fruits.
“Superfoods were the starting point,” she said. “My friend gave me a copy of the just published book about it. She appeared fantastic and was eating in that manner already. And as I learned more, I understood that’s how I consumed food. Yes, sometimes I eat pasta and carbohydrates. I adore carbohydrates. However, moderation is crucial.
