The Pakistan Meteorological Department warned Monday that Sindh will stay in the grip of a severe cold wave as locals shiver in the rain-induced chill.
According to the Met Office, the temperature in the province will drop by 10 degrees in a few days compared to average March weather.
Severe chilly weather returned to Karachi, especially after the city saw rain and thunderstorms on Friday.
“The average March temperature in Karachi is 19.4°C. Today’s temperature in Karachi was 11.1°C, 8.3°C lower than the average March temperature,” the PMD claimed.
According to the Met Office, anticipating rain in Karachi will be premature using the March system.
The weather predicting bureau stated that temperatures will rise to 30°C beginning Friday.
‘No prospect of rain in Balochistan.’
Meanwhile, according to the PMD, another wave of westerly winds may hit Balochistan on March 5.
“No chance of rain in the system affecting Balochistan,” the statement said.
The Met Office also projected that a westerly wind system would strike the country on March 11th.
Last Friday, Karachi had severe rain in areas such as II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Sarjani Town, Malir, North Karachi, Korangi Industrial Area, Orangi Town, Baldia Town, Manghopir, Northern Bypass, and Sohrab Goth Town.
