Usman Khan’s unbeaten 59-ball 106 and Usama Mir’s (2-29) bowling heroics propelled the Multan Sultans to a 20-run victory over the Karachi Kings in the 19th match of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi on Sunday.
Karachi Kings’ Innings
Chasing a goal of 190, the Kings could only manage 169-7 in 20 overs, with Shoaib Malik (38 off 28) being the team’s best scorer with five boundaries.
Captain Shan Masood got the ball rolling early on before being baffled on 29-ball 36 by Usama Mir, who hit five boundaries.
Mohammad Nawaz (27 off 17) remained unbeaten, hitting three boundaries and a six. Irfan Khan looked good with his 19-ball 23, hitting two boundaries and a massive six.
Hasan Ali hit one boundary and a six to complete an 8-ball 17.

Leus du Plooy (12 out of 11) did not show much resistance with the bat.
Mir Hamza remains unbeaten at 1-4.
Usama Mir (2-29) was the Sultans’ best spinner, taking two wickets.
Khushdil Shah (1-16), David Willey (1-32), Chris Jordan (1-34), and Mohammad Ali (1-40) each claimed a scalp.
Faisal Akram (0-16) went wicketless.

Usman Khan’s unbeaten and aggressive ton led the Multan Sultans to a 189-3 victory over the Karachi Kings.
Choosing to bat first, the Sultans lost Reeza Hendricks earlier on 8-ball 13, when Zimbabwean Blessing Muzarabani dismissed him.
