Doumbe repeatedly complained about his foot, and in the third round, referee Mark Goddard stopped the fight between the two Frenchmen.
Following Chamsoudinov’s victory, Doumbe disclosed that he had been unable to compete due to a shard of glass.
Doumbe, 32, stated, “I didn’t want to stop the fight.”
However, I have a tiny glass in my foot that I don’t want to take out in case someone thinks I’m lying. I’m getting harmed by it.
“I simply wanted to take it off and carry on, but the referee told me to stop. ‘Just remove it, then we fight,’ the opponent said.
