The Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL) team defeated the opposition 71-59 after winning the first leg in Venice by a single point to advance to their first-ever EuroCup Women final.
They will compete in the two-leg showpiece against Spar Girona or Besiktas.
The second leg in Italy on Thursday will see Turkey’s Besiktas leading by 21 points.
Jessica Shepard of Reyer scored 14 points and finished with a game-high double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds to put the Lions behind 33–31 at the half.
The London Lions are the first British team to advance to a European final in the EuroCup Women.
After defeating Umana Reyer Venice in the Copper Box Arena, the London Lions created history by becoming the first basketball team from Britain to go to the European final.
