The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced on Wednesday its intention to build the country’s largest IT park in Islamabad.
The CDA has approved the building of a vast IT park spanning 3.3 acres in the heart of Sector G-10, Islamabad, after much anticipation.
The authority emphasized the strategic importance of this undertaking, revealing that rigorous preparation has already been conducted, with a specified plot secured for the monumental project.
The upcoming Islamabad IT Park will be constructed by a collaborative effort under the Public Private Partnership model, representing a convergence of government vision and private sector experience.
The park is envisioned as a buzzing hub of technological brilliance, with an amazing covered space of one lakh square feet.
Speaking about the IT park’s multifarious value, CDA officials explained that it will function as a thriving ecosystem that encourages innovation and progress.
Among its many features, the park will have cutting-edge facilities such as a library, exhibition areas for displaying IT products, and designated zones for research centers, conference halls, and meeting rooms.
Furthermore, the CDA underlined that private firms will bear the entire financial cost of creating the Islamabad IT Park, emphasizing the initiative’s collaborative character.
As part of the agreement, private companies will lease space in the park to set up their IT offices, boosting economic activity and job creation in the booming technology industry.
