Louis de Zoysa shot Matt Ratana, a member of the Metropolitan Police, in the early hours of September 25, 2020. He used an antique handgun that he had concealed from the police in the Croydon custody room in south London.
After de Zoysa, an autistic man, was first taken into custody and searched, police found rounds in his pocket but were unable to locate the handgun the 26-year-old was carrying in an underarm holster.
