With fewer than five months until her Democratic primary, Missouri Representative Cori Bush is beset by a plethora of issues that make her the most vulnerable member of the progressive “Squad” in Congress this election season.
Recently, groups like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which aims to remove Bush and other legislators from office because of their divisive positions and remarks against the Jewish state, have begun to target the lawmakers in the squad.
But among the group, Bush is in the worst situation. She must contend with a federal probe into her campaign in addition to a formidable primary fight from her Democratic rival. In addition, her campaign’s finances are getting low as she approaches a critical juncture ahead of the August 6 primary.
This election season, Cori Bush appears to be the most vulnerable member of the “Squad.”
